Last week we revealed to you the 2021 BOM, Color My World by Wendy Williams, and it has already been a rousing success. Today we thought we'd share Barbara Black's, the maker of the BOM and future TQS guest, own reveal about what it was like making such an amazing quilt and how she plans to guide you through making it as well.

To Ktmosedale: Since one yard = 36" and one meter ~ 39", your fat quarters should be larger than ours.

Where do I find Barbara's Fabric Selection for 2021 BOM video? This quilt look so exciting!

I’m from the U.K. too! Remember that a metre is slightly larger than a yard, so they have asked for 4 1/4 yards for the background. We will only need 4 metres.

What a great choice! I just wanted to mention that in the introduction post showing swatches and yardage for the BOM, you labeled some of the swatches as fabric by Martha Derse, and it should be Marcia Derse. Just wanted you be aware. Thank you.

Yes, absolutely, fat quarters will work fine.

Hello I love this quilt and want to take part. I live in UK and our fabric is sold in metric units so I have been trying to source the shot cotton in UK( to avoid high shipping fees). Please can someone advise me if I can use fat quarters? If not would I manage with long quarters of a metre where pattern calls for 1/3 of a yard? Any help much appreciated. Thank you.
