Want to curl up with a good book about quilts? SAQA produces an ever-growing list of books, exhibition catalogs, and magazines filled with inspiration that let you keep pace with artists active in the art quilt medium.

The newest book is Exploring Art Quilts with SAQA: Vol. 1: New Directions, from Schiffer Publishing. The series showcases the work of 16 artists and serves as a long-term creative reference for contemporary art quilting. It is presented in a book-and-journal format that also includes 350 color photos. (Some content is taken from in-depth interviews previously printed in Art Quilt Quarterly (AQQ), SAQA’s subscription-based magazine.)

The SAQA store is also the place to purchase AQQ subscriptions or take advantage of discounted back issues. A special-offer bundle includes Issues 16-19 at 50% off the regular cover price, plus shipping, while supplies last. Each issue of AQQ includes 60+ pages of art from SAQA’s Juried Artist roster, interviews with artists and other arts professionals, galleries from SAQA’s Global Exhibitions (SGE) program, and insider details about museum and private collections. Select individual back issues are also on sale.

New catalogs to accompany Beyond the Mirror and Ebb & Flow, the two latest SGE exhibitions, are available in the SAQA store too. Several other catalog titles have been reduced in price, including those for the AloftH2Oh!, and Dusk to Dawn exhibitions.
