Today Alex teaches the Cake Stand Basket Quilt Block.  This is the start of the fabulous Basket Quilt Adventure. Your quilt should not turn out looking exactly like Alex's quilt. You will be encouraged to branch out, set blocks & borders differently, and combine colors & values differently.

#9: What is the formula to get the final size hst when you overcut the 2 start blocks & trim? I overcut each D&E @ 4" , what size do I trim the hst to. Math,arghh.

Stacie - yes it is required. Otherwise it puts us into a copyright situation. There is a down loadable book in the shop and it is less $$ and right at your fingertips. Thank you for asking.........

You said to cut D&E at 2 1/2” but book says they are suppose to be 3 7/8”
