Alicia Sterna - "Sometimes It Snows" a Houston 2019 Quilt

Alicia Sterna's quilt, Sometimes It Snows, is inspired by Michael McKee's painting Sedona Snow and the rare sighting of snow in Arizona. It presents a great contrast of the white snow against the red rocks of Arizona.

We were fortunate enough to wake up one morning in Sedona and it had snowed in the night. Just spectacular so incredibly beautiful. This is a very wonderful world.

Very pretty. Love Sedona and the red rocks and yes it is quite a sight to see snow on them. Love the quilting with the movement.

Very pretty with brilliant colors, as if the sun were hitting the red rocks. I miss AZ, lived out there for a while..
