Alex continues to show how to make the blocks that are going into the mystery quilt. Grab your fabric and join in the journey. Be sure to check out those that are sharing in the forum. We love some of the fabric choices going on. Take a look. https://thequiltshow.com/forum/this-and-that-quilting-related/8994-kaffe-mystery-quilt-learn-with-alex#148068

This is very exciting and lots of fun! I was up 'til 3am this morning working on color variations for block one. Today's block - given the colors Alex has chosen for it - looks very Bauhaus. Feel pretty sure I'm going to travel different colorways with this one just as I did with the first one..

Onward!

For the Kaffe mystery quilt are your solids from your stash or are they a kit you are selling. And I'm confused cause you keep mentioning your hand dyed fabric. Are you using it in the quilt too?

After you have seen the seam - When you are setting the seams and there is a thickness of seams - do you ever clip the seam near the bulk and then press - therefore creating the seam laying in two different ways.

Hi Alex, I live seven miles north of Boston and on Sunday it was 97 degrees in my town. If only it could be 75 degrees out every day, I would be happy.
