We found this art object in Alex's house during the taping. Why?

When Capt'n John's mother's estate was settled, Alex wanted this piece d' art. No one else in the family fought her for it. Actually John has fond memories of it in his grandmother's house in the early 1950's. We really don't know how old it is. For historical accuracy, it was Alex who added the eye patch. Would you have "fought" for it?

Love the whimsy... but until we all can "fly" again, he doesn't need the eye patch--he needs a face mask!

I like it! Maybe not so much the eye patch... But I'd like to see you create a rain forest setting for him--a 3D fabric sculpture of leaves. I used to visit an elderly neighbor who painted precast ceramics as a hobby. She had a stunning rooster lamp in her living room that I always hankered for.

I would let Alex have this one, especially if it meant that much to her.

what immediately came to mind was the theme song from the "the Pirates of the Caribbean" in Disneyland and Walt Disney World Yo ho yo ho a pirates life for me...." I bet the parrot is well treasured!

So cute! I think I would have wanted it----but would loose the patch. Looking at the Etsy post, it is worth quite a little chunk of change.

I love it !!!! I have an antique horse lamp that was my grandparents. It still lights up. No one else wanted it, but I bet some of them would now!
