It's time to sew the fabric pieces together for the sawtooth quilt block. In this quilting tutorial, Alex shows how she makes a partial seam.

I love these little videos. I try and catch them live, but I love that I can see you as you are, warts and all. I smile when you struggle, it's cute as hell. I attended a lecture in Paducah in 2017 and some day it would be fun to do a class with you. You are a hoot!

My design wall is an insulation product called Donacona, covered in gridded flannel. It's mounted on a pair of sliding doors in the cabinet where I keep my stash. I love being able to pin pieces to it, especially when I have the patio door open.

I really like the pattern of your block. The entire quilt is beautiful. The method you explained today I never thought of and it is very helpful! Looking at the block today.....I feel the pink color needs to be darker to give more contrast....but again it looks good in the finished quilt!

I wanted to say thank you for talking about the books and Keeping only what gives you pleasure! A story: My Dad who is 91 has sent me about 4 packages of old used quilt books from the library sale in NY (I live in TN). I know it gave him PLEASURE to send me these and I really liked about one of them only. It was so nice of him to think of me and to have something to do. When he called he mentioned these books. That also gave him PLEASURE and I thanked him!
