We wish we had both sides of Emma Costa's brain (the analytical and the creative) when it comes to designing a quilt. We love how she used technology to help her create the design and then discovered that picking out and placing the fabrics was her favorite part of the process.

My Brain on Technology by Emma J. Costa won Second PlaceYouth Quilts, sponsored by Cotton + Steel, at QuiltCon 2020.

As senior citizen computer geek, this is beginning & end of my day. Love representation!

I thing the gray color represents the brain on technology (I'm a teacher and have been grading ALL of my students assignment during the past month online due to CORONA) and the colorful side represents your brain when quilting!!! This looks great! I'd love for you to share your pattern!

This is amazing. I liked seeing the close up of fabrics that wouldn't seem to go together blend with such grace. The brain looks like a real brain. You must have spent days getting all the colors to lay out so well Thank you.

I absolutely love this quilt! I wish there was a pattern for this quilt because I would definitely make it. Very ingenious.

Did you blow your teacher's socks off, or have they seen your project yet?

GOOD job.

Emma Costa - you totally rock! That is so awesome! And a postage stamp quilt is impressive! I know you must like STEM, because this brain is a great example of left and right brain activity. Can't wait to see what you come up with next! Keep going!
