Great information and just wonderful having you to "chat" along as I am doing some sewing work. This social distancing is good except when you spend all day sewing alone and don't have a "quilting buddy" to discuss world issues that a person has all the answers to.
Yes was told only cotton to sew quilts with because polys don't like all the ironing, as they shrink and seams pucker up. Have threads changed that much in 15 years?
Liuxin Newman from Australia showed how to put a knot in silk thread so it doesn't come sliding out. she split the thread with her needle x 2. Also I put a tiny knot that I place at the bottom of the eye. works a treat..
Used to watch your quilt show and thoroughly enjoyed. But your "show" today is so hilarious and fun. Had a great time watching, with great tips! Thank you!
I would like to know on your blue and white pieces that are unmatched there was a thread that is pulled back into your seam. That happens to me all the time when I use my thread cutter. Is there a way to eliminate that??
