See "Spring Thing" a quilt by Claudia Scheja

We were just going to post that Spring Thing won Third Place, Appliqué Wall, at Road to California 2020, when we found out it also won Best Wall Quilt at AQS QuiltWeek® – Daytona Beach, Florida, 2020. Congratulations to Claudia Scheja of Westphalia, Germany. Claudia's quilt was pieced and appliquéd by hand. This work was then highlighed by fabulous machine quilting.

I love this quilt! The dark colors in the flowers and circles are offset so beautifully by the white background that it really does look so bright and clean. The quilting does so much to make the background pop. Great work!

Oh my goodness! The balance of colors, and over the the top quilting that doesn’t compete, but complements the quilt! STUNNING!
