See "Cape Jasmine" a quilt by Masako Kumagawa

Cape Jasmine by Masako Kumagawa features four large Cape Jasmine wreaths. We can't even begin to count how many hand-stitched leaves and petals there are in each wreath. Then she caps it off by creating four smaller wreaths and a floral border. We think there might be more petals than stitches in this beautiful hand-crafted masterpiece.

Cape Jasmine was featured in the Merit Quilting Hand exhibit at the Houston International Quilt Festival 2019.

Japanese quilters seems to have a lot more time to quilt and sew than the rest of us mere mortals.
Their quilts are always intricate and very detailed.
I would love to know the secret of their time management.

Wonderful hand work and beautiful design. Nice to see hand work being featured as it seldom is these days. Not to say that machine work isn't worthy of being featured but for some reason hand work seems to be in the minority.
