Thank you for this! Donations are so much more helpful than packages arriving 2 to 6 weeks from now.

My daughter has friends in the area who recommend the Animal Rescue Craft Guild which has a Facebook page with patterns for all kinds of bedding needs for rescued animals. https://www.facebook.com/groups/arfsncrafts/?ref=share They are most in need of joey bags at this time. They also ask folks to contact them before sending anything so they can direct the items where they are needed the most. When in doubt - send cash via online links.

Thanks for posting this on your blog, we here in Australia are seeing the worst drought and bush fires in our history. Australians are well known for helping their mates so we appreciate it when our mates help us. God Bless.

Thank you TQS for posting this. We need all the help we can get. I have never seen such bad drought conditions and horrific bushfires like this in my 74 years. Buxton NSW was hit badly by the fires and my daughter's house survived but with everything singed around it including I am afraid the neighbour's cat. I wake every morning with tears in my eyes for the loss everyone is suffering. So thank you and God bless.

Every day we hope for rain and relief. These fires are devastating our country, burning in every state. Kangaroo Island in South Australia has been ravaged with a fire that has burnt over a third of the island, and 2 residents have lost their lives. You may wish to add the CFA in Victoria and the CFS in South Australia to your list of donations required. They are the volunteer fire fighting services in those states. But, please ensure that whom ever you donate to, that 100% of your generosity goes to those that need it. Thank you for your good wishes.

Thank you so much for posting this. I was on the phone with a dear friend (and quilter) this weekend who lives in Wangi Wangi, Australia. She is not in immediate danger however there are so many who are. She cited that Australia has already lost 30% of the koala population. Donations are greatly appreciated, especially to the NSW Rural Firefighters. Thank you to all for helping our Aussie friends.
