Have you ever wanted to try out every stitch on your sewing machine? We think Lynda MH Faires just might have done that in this spectacular quilt.

One Stitch at a Time was on display as part of the Alternative Techniques exhibit at the Houston International Quilt Festival 2019.

You can watch Lynda here at TQS in Show 2003: Vintage Charm Using Silk and Machine Threadwork.

Thank you to Carol Ann Waugh for introducing us to this fun and beautiful style of art.

Thanks to Carol Ann Waugh in Show 1011 for starting me on the path of using my machine stitches (along with hand stitches, rick rack, and ribbons) in my quilts. My 6-year-old grandson's first quilt used this technique, too. He had a good time trying out the various stitches on my machine.

I have often thought of doing this, not quite in the same scale! Now I am going to do it, a smaller version though.

OK, this is really cool. I think she used decorative stitches in an innovative way.

What a fun quilt! I bet it was addictive. I love all the patterns and colors. I am sure it took a lot of time to cover the surface as intensely as it is. Great job of thinking outside of the box.
