Melissa Sobotka doesn't disappoint, after all she is a Houston Best of Show Winner, and this quilt is no exception. Melissa went a bit off the beaten track (all the way to Australia) to create Gorgeous. You don't usually get a chance to look an emu in the eye.

This was one of my absolute favorite quilts at Houston Festival this year, and I was shocked and disappointed that it didn't win an award. I just love it!

Amazing. I am an old school hand quilter but find these new machine quilted creations absolutely compelling. Quilting in a completely different creative way. Beautiful artwork!
