Lilo was recently lucky enough to attend the Carrefour Européen du Patchwork meeting in Sainte-Marie-Aux-Mines where she caught up with Maya Chaimovich. Maya's exhibit, Palette of Movements, was on display and Lilo got the chance to talk to her about her beginnings as a quilter, her design process, and what inspires her work. They also looked at a number of her quilts.

As there was a bit of a language barrier, Maya prepared her answers ahead of time. And, as the interview was on the grounds of the exhibit, you will notice background noise.

The quilts displayed in the video are from Maya's exhibit at the Houston International Quilt Fesitval 2018, Maya's website, and her current exhibit, Palette of Movements.

Thanks so much, and a special thank you to Maya for being willing to interview in English...I speak a couple other languages, but I'd never be able to do as well in them as she did in English. It was a joy to hear her speak about her work.

Very inspiring and beautiful work. I thoroughly enjoyed this interview and am glad that you allowed for the extra time--well worth it. Loved Maya's beautiful smile and Lilo is a phenomenal interviewer. Keep them coming! Thank you!
