I made a lap quilt for a friend battling colon cancer. I covered the back of it in positive, encouraging words in freehand quilting. She loved it.

I love this! Reminds me a lot of what my sons has taped to the bathroom mirror in raising my grandkids!

Yes, I do put hidden messages, names, etc. in my quilts. Children, especially, have a lot of fun looking for their name, etc. I also sign my name on the front of my quilts in an inconspicuous place, that way if the label is removed, I am still there :lol:
