Today we continue our selection of quilts recently displayed at the Spring Paducah 2019 show featured as part of The 14th Quilt Nihon Exhibition. The exhibit is described as:

"Organized by the Japan Handicraft Instructors' Association, the Quilt Nihon Exhibition is one of the most prestigious international quilt contests in Japan. The exhibit features 42 quilts from the "Innovative Traditional" category, which will later be exhibited at the Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Art."

The colors are wonderful! The quilt is stunning, i would have thrown it into the scrap heap after, probably, the first compass. But when the pics showed the quilt was also hand quilted, I am in awe. What patience and talent you have.

Oh my goodness--this quilt is amazing.I wish to state that I wouldn't even try to start this design: I'm aware of my limitations.
Color & assorted prints, in pieced patterns are my strong point. But, when it comes to the quilting, by hand or machine, I fall down on the job.> My long-arm quilting lady is much more talented.

A stunning combination of symmetry, design and attention to detail in a quilt that is peaceful to look at. Would I make a quilt like this? Sure if I didn't work full time, take care of my family, clean the house, wash the laundry, take care of the garden ohhh you get the idea!
