Spring Paducah 2019

We love everything about Selvage Siblings by Mayleen Vinson. She challenged herself to make a Sunflower Sue and Overall Bill quilt from selvages. She topped it off with an amazing scalloped border, embroidery, and big stitch quilting. Did we say how much we love this quilt?

Selvage Siblings was on display at the Houston International Quilt Festival 2018.

Yes, it should be Sunbonnet Sue and not Sunflower Sue. Maybe I had sunflowers on my mind or maybe it was a typo when they made the print out. My quilt hung at 2018 Houston Quilt Festival and not at the 2019 Paducah quilt show.

My cats are sure to hate this quilt! I save the selvege edges for them to play "Lets chase Mommy with those tail things!" One of their favorite games and a great way for me to get up and move! But this quilt is so adorable!

What a cute way to use selvage fabric. The Selvage Mavens in Rio Rancho, NM will be jealous! Especially like the border treatment.
