Capt'n John: I am writing this on Sunday so I don't know what the price of the Fire Stick 4k (my recommended model) will be. Alex and I have found that watching TQS on the big TV more fun. (It is a TV show!). It works great in her studio so she can play it while she works. Watch the video to get my hints on setup that will make returning and watching again very easy. So, if it's a great price, this would be a good time to try it out. (By the way, it is also a great way to see the quilts we put in the blog.)

Disclaimer: TQS is not associated with Amazon and gets no commission on any sales. We just like how it allows you to see the shows.

I’ve used both Chromecast and Apple TV to watch TQS on the big TV. I usually cast from my iPad or laptop.

How about Roku? Can you tell me how to watch the shows using Roku?

Thank you so very much! My husband was my tech guy. I am NOT techy at all. He passed last year. I bought a fire stick 4K for the sole purpose of watching the Quilt Show on my big TV. Your video helped me set it up all by myself! I actually had more trouble getting the back off of the remote control than setting it all up. Thank you!

Chromecast works well with PCs and Android phones, while AppleTV works well with iPhones, Mac, and iPads. They work differently as they are "cast" from the device to the screen. This works well is good broadband areas and has a little lag is poor WiFi connections. The Fire Stick needs no extra device to work.

Is it possible to do this using Chromecast instead of the FireStick?
