The perfect symbol for powerful feelings, Ruby is the stone of love, energy, passion, power, and a zest for life. Ruby is also the stone of courage, and according to legend, a person possessing a ruby can walk through life without fear in the face of evil or misfortune.
The world’s largest mined ruby is the eight and a half thousand carat Liberty Bell Ruby, which was sculpted into the shape of the Liberty Bell in 1976. It was stolen in 2011, and although the thieves were caught in 2014, the ruby itself was never recovered!
