Beginning today we will be featuring a selection of quilts recently displayed at the Spring Paducah 2019 show. These quilts were a part of The 14th Quilt Nihon Exhibition. The exhibit is described as:

"Organized by the Japan Handicraft Instructors' Association, the Quilt Nihon Exhibition is one of the most prestigious international quilt contests in Japan. The exhibit features 42 quilts from the "Innovative Traditional" category, which will later be exhibited at the Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Art."

This is really beautiful! I like the way the gates are offset. Lots os gardens have entrances positioned so that you have a different perspective when you enter. I also like the way that my eyes look around to find those nice bits of color too.

Wow! This quilt is so beautiful and I can only imagine how much time it took to make it. The quiltmaker certainly showed her love of flowers and gardens. I have not seen, but I want to see a night garden of all white flowers when the moon is full so the flowers show in all of their glory. That's what this quilt reminds me of.
