"Do you sell embellishments and crystals? Do you have a per ton price?" We haven't talked with Marilyn Badger yet, so we can't be sure she actually made this call, but we do know that this stunning quilt is 77" x 77" and includes Fused Appliqué, Hand Appliqué, Beading, Broderie Perse, Collage, (Lots of) Crystals, Embellishments, Hand Embroidery, Free-Motion quilting and Fabric Painting.

We love how making an amazing border was not enough. She then added stitching and more crystals. Take a look and enjoy Marie's Treasure by Marilyn Badger.

This multiple award-winning quilt is the 1st place winner in the Movable Machine Quilted Category at Spring Paducah 2019. Loved by judges and the crowd, it also won a Viewer's Choice award.

Did you miss the 3rd place and 2nd Place?

"Movable Machine" category is longarm quilting - and Marilyn Badger is certainly one of the best!

What I especially like is the hand dyed crocheted doily in the center. Awesome!! Who doesn't have some of these doilies just hanging out looking for a new lease on life and all glammed up.
Thanks for the exploration. We all need a swift kick once in a while. I know I will be stealing this idea.

The chains are there to keep the crowd (and me) a safe distance from the quilts. It is not part of the quilt, just the venue.

Capt’n John – Here are my thoughts. If it is 2 layers of fabric (summer quilt) or more, it is a quilt. It is important to the craft and the art of quilting not to limit its creation in any way. No one questions Marilyn Badger’s talent or workmanship (yes Marilyn I am buttering you up so you will come on the show) and it led to a quilt that will hang in a museum for all to marvel at. These advances push all of us to grow. Every change brings necessary discussions. Hand quilting, machine quilting, longarm quilting and computer-assist ed quilting all brought up issues. Painting? Well, why not? The manufacturers add color to fabric, why can’t you? No advance delegitimizes the past processes and actually makes them more honored. So encourage and praise those reaching out, they will probably lead to a tool, technique, or process that you will embrace for your own style of quilting.

I agree it’s overwhelming.

stunning workmanship . A labor of love .. a bit over the top but stunning . I really don't grasp the white chains at the bottom of the quilt .. very distracting . are they part of the quilt or a photographic error ??

Amazing art quilt. I’m not a fan of crystals but crochet overlaying fabric is such a great idea. And a (simple) quilt with crochet Would be great to snuggle up with!

This is a stunning quilt that I did vote for. It is well anchored and is using a combination of Applique, Lace, Beads, hand painted and more. The back of this quilt was beautiful as well.
