You never know what is going to inspire you as a quilter. In this case, Tanya's quilt was inspired by her husband's fall from a ladder. Read the story behind the quilt and take a look at the interesting method of piecing she used.

Tanya Munro's quilt, Pathways, won 1st Place Improvisation at QuiltCon 2019.

One of my favorite quilts ever, and I’ve been a quilt maker for a long time. Original, meaningful and marvelous! Congratulations , Tanya. A very
well deserved reward. Hope to see more of your work.

Absolutely love this quilt. It truly shows inspiration from what must have been a traumatic event. Hope your husband is himself well again.

I loved the quilt and especially her message. We never know where help or inspiration will come from … our friends and family and especially from the quilting world.

The design is great. I love the straight quilting which really levels out all of the action from the ladders. It definately is a winner!

I love this quilt! The Lotta Jansdotter fabric is the perfect background. And the ladders do have a beauty about them. Congratulations on a wonderful quilt. And many thanks for the inspiring words. (I hope your husband is doing well now.)

What Tanya wrote about her quilt is profound! I'm sitting here thinking about how right she is. Thank you Tanya.
