"Bohemian Garden" by Suzy Williams

Suzy's quilt, Bohemian Garden, was made completely from knit fabrics. Yes, you read that correctly, knit fabrics. She wanted to challenge herself to do something new. Inspired by Henri Matisse, it's a lovely quilt.

I love this quilt, it's so bright and happy. I was also surprised and very interested to hear it was made from knit fabrics. I have a lot of knit leftovers from way back when I was making most of my family's and my own clothes. Suzy has shown that it's possible to make quilts with anything you want. I can understand hand-piecers wanting to use only cotton as it's the easiest to handle, but the sewing machine doesn't mind what it sews. I'm inspired to have a go at a knit quilt, and also I haven't done any applique for a few years and I'm missing it. Thank you Suzy.
