OR-7, by Christina McCann, is a tribute to the first grey wolf in Oregon since 1948. However, Christina chose to represent the grey wolf in beautiful Technicolor. It is a stunning tribute to a beautiful animal.

OR-7 was exhibited at the Houston International Quilt Festival 2018.

OR-7, also known as Journey, is a male grey wolf that was electronically tracked as he migrated from the Wallowa Mountains in northeastern corner of the U.S. state of Oregon to the southern Cascade Range.

It appears that the quilting thread changes color with the underlying fabric. Did she paint the surface after quilting, or is this a special kind of thread?
