I am so excited for this next stitching adventure!! MISA, short for Madeline Island School of Arts, is one of the top five arts and crafts schools in the country. They provide a serene setting to immerse yourself in whatever your passion is...photography, painting, writing or stitching to name a few. Bringing instructors from around the world to share with you in a setting that allows for peaceful creativity...you are fed and cared for while the outside world keeps turning.
Luckily for those of us who may not be able to make it to the island, MISA offers 2 Western campuses...1 in Arizona and 1 in New Mexico! This week I head off to Tanque Verde for 5 days of fun with Sue Spargo!!!
Located in the Rincon Mountains and bordering the Saguaro National Park, the Tanque Verde Ranch is the perfect place for relaxing and learning a new stitch or two! Each workshop has a theme and as you can see the previous workshop participants really made wonderful headway in their projects!
This season the workshop is titled "Tell Me A Story," where you are encouraged to tell your own story using Sue's house and road quilt as inspiration.
Yes...I am brimming with story ideas, most of which include camping along the way...on my road to the next adventure! Maybe by next week, when we meet back here, I will have something to show from this wonderful workshop!
