"The Jump" A Quilt by Cristina Arcenegui Bono - Spain

This enchanting quilt by Cristina Arcenegui Bono of Spain was inspired by illustrations for the book, My Childhood by Sveta Dorosheva. The Jump depicts a little girl with plenty of energy jumping into the water and enjoying her childhood. It is stunning in that it is basically a wholecloth quilt brought to life through machine stitching and just a touch of red.

The Jump was exhibited at the Houston International Quilt Festival 2018.

Wow, this is so creative! I love the story you see immediately from the quilt, and then to learn this is all created with stitching is stunning. Great work!
