You know that expression, "There are no words..."? Well, this is one time when it truly applies to a quilt, but we are going to try and describe it anyway. Flower Rondo by Chinami Terai was inspired by the yellow mimosas and roses in her garden. This absolutely exquisite quilt was hand quilted, hand appliquéd, embroidered, and embellished with velveteen ribbon for texture.

Flower Rondo won 1st Place Hademade at the Houston International Quilt Festival 2018 and it's not hard to see why.

The Japanese ladies do the most exquisite work and deserve the accolades. Perhaps we could see some of these people on Quilt Show as I believe we had someone before and they were very good.

I am in complete awe and at a loss for words. I would love to know how long this took Chinami to complete. Truly a work of art from an extremely talented quilter!
