Libby Williamson has constructed many a quilt with traditional quilting techniques, her current passion is in the making of art quilts using layers of painted and dyed fabrics, appliquéd layers of free-motion stitched components, and embedded found objects. She is a proud hoarder of all things “fiber” and thrives in a world of stitch and sew.

Well, this "hoarder" makes fabulous quilts and we could spend hours pouring over the different stitches, objects, and layers she uses in her designs.

Different But The Same, 27”x 46”, is no exception.

Watch Libby and learn in Show 2311: Fun with Mixed Media Collage and Quilting Inspiration.

Love the design concept, but it is not a quilt. Great fabric art.

Love how the repetition of forms allows all the different textures of materials to play nice.

There are so many elements! I could sit and look at this wonderful little quilt for hours. Looking forward to seeing her on the show and finding out a little about how she ticks.

Very unique and visually interesting. Not what I would make, but thank goodness for the variety of quilters and quilting styles out there.
