Not everyone puts their quilt on their bed. Carolyn Friedlander decided to experiment with her quilt and another type of furniture. The result was stunning and on display at QuiltCon. We may just have to try this experiment ourselves.

I X stitched magnetic strips on back of a wallhanging to cover fireplace opening when not in use. Always get compliments!

I put one over my TV when we’re not watching it. It’s better for the feng shui on the room too!

Brave woman to cut up a quilt for upholstery. Not sure I would have the guts to do something like this. Great idea!

I have a quilt hanging over the "black hole" that is my fireplace. Since I don't use it much, I drilled two small holes in the bottom of the mantel, inserted cup hooks and and using a curtain rod, hung my quilt.
It is coordinated with the colors in my great room but for Christmas I hang a snowman quilt in its place.

WOW!!! This is way cool and so much fun! Congrats to the maker and I think she has something here... imagine a family bringing this home, and children discovering the amazing quilted blocks running across the back and fingering the quilt stitches all the while watching their favourite TV shows. Reminds me of sleeping under my grams quilts and feeling the MAGIC! Bethany in Kingston ON Canada
