Mark Sherman saw an image on the cover of a book in a museum shop and wanted to make a quilt based on that image. It turns out it was a page from the Book of Kells. Mark had to get special permission from Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland, to make the quilt. It took him six years and a jeweler's loupe to complete it.
Hear Mark tell the whole story of his quilt, Chi Rho, in Show 2301: Luminous Stained Glass Quilts.

This quilt is a lovely tribute to a world treasure.
