Alex began the eagle on this quilt, Made in America, in a Charlotte Warr Andersen class at Asilomar. She wanted to do the eagle rather than the face of a person. She didn't finish it until a few years later when the concept for the design came into focus. (Unfortunately, no pattern is available.)
