Somewhere on YouTube there is a video showing how a lady would use a bathroom or chamber pot. Basically one would face the opposite way to now or insert the pot into the clothing whilst having one foot on a stool. Perhaps they were more athletic.
I used to have a Victorian elliptical petticoat which I wore as a skirt. My Mam threw it out along with all my ethnic and historical clothing. Sob!
