TQS has recently featured Denim artist Ian Berry's work. (Click here to see.) We wanted to show you how denim was used in an Award-Winning Quilt by Noriko Nozawa. It's fun to see the denim used in log cabin squares, and the stitching of hands in pockets in very well done. Some areas are quilted heavily and some very lightly. This quilt won 2nd Place Wall Quilts - Stationary Machine Quilted at Spring Paducah 2018.

This should be called "Boy Meets Girl". The awkward little feet and the hands in pocket remind me of two shy kids interacting - so well done!

This was my Visitors' Choice when I went to the Houston Show a couple of years ago. Love it.
Pleasing on so many levels and fun too!

Now I know what I've been missing all these years! One more finger and I would be able to do anything. Thanks for the lovely needlework and the chuckle!

An exceptional quilt with great creativity. Also a great way to repurpose jeans and the quilting works well to enhance the piece.

The quilt is just awesome! The five fingers in addition to the thumb did bring a chuckle. Way to go!

That is sooo amazing! I have several family members that would love to have that.

The pictorial blocks are wonderful ! I do think the wonky log cabin blocks are too busy though, and detract from the pictorial blocks.
Still a beautiful quilt and I love the creative use of denim!
