Nancy was inspired by a photograph she saw on the Captain Kimo website. She found the nature photographer’s heron photo and received approval for its use. The photo was taken in the Wakodahatchee Wetlands nature preserve park in Florida. It's a truly amazing quilt and the feathers really look like feathers.

Bonnie Browning interviewed Nancy about her quilt in Paducah. Watch the video at the botton of the blog.

Nancy's quilt has won numerous ribbons including 1st Place Small Wall Quilts: Home Machine Quilted in Paducah 2015 and a 3rd Place ribbon in AQS Phoenix 2016.

It's always the mistakes -- and the creativity to overcome them -- that make a quilt magnificent!
