Using the colors of the sunset as her inspiration, Leah Gravells created a stunning quilt she called Look to the West. Leah used 200 3/4" strips and the quilt-as-you-go method to create a work of art that is stunning in its beauty and simplicity.

The quilt was photographed at AQS QuiltWeek Phoenix 2016.

Those little channels of fabric give it so much depth and texture.

So proud of my fellow Canadian. Yes our sunsets in the prairies are that beautiful!

I bet she had fun laying that out. It is beautiful. As if you are able to walk right into the sunset.

When you live on the prairies, this is our view. We are so lucky to have so much sky to enjoy. Leah did such a beautiful job of capturing the view.
