Annie and Lynda, a.k.a. The Hoop Sisters, delight us with the variety of ways digitized embroidery designs and the hoop can be used to create a quilt entirely constructed on the sewing machine. Along with tips for avoiding common mistakes when building an embroidery design, the sisters share how to join blocks and how to finish a quilt by machine.

Also in this show, Alex demonstrates a fun and tantalizing technique for inserting a pop of color and texture into a Dresden Plate block using ricrac.

Star Members can watch the Hoop Sisters in Show 2206: The Magic of Quilting in a Hoop when it premiers on Sunday, March 11, 2018.

I have always liked ricrac as an add in most anything! Thank you!

To bad they didn't talk on the video. Looked like they were having fun though. The quilts were all OUTSTANDING! BEAUTIFUL! AWESOME!
I still want to win the GOLD!

I'm confused. Nobody talks in this video. Make sure the show isn't running and this "On Set" is still running in the background.

Not only is the music distracting, but it's impossible to hear what anybody says when they're all talking over each other. That was so frustrating.

Phillippa, I have to adjust the sound volume control with each new segment. Yes, it can be distracting. But use the volume control on your speakers. Happy stitching.

Great! I know how to digitize and already tried it myself but sure need some tips for the next one. I like the music.

maybe I'm the only person who finds the music really distracting?
Thanks for the tip about doing a block with machine embroidery. OF course, you have to plan ahead for this, right? :)
