"Asleep in the Cyclone" is an art installation in a hotel room. The hotel is the 21c Museum hotel in Louisville, Kentucky. We were caught by the use of triangles but were worried that quilters would lose sleep wondering if the ceiling was a design wall and whether they could change the colors and placement. Here are a few pictures. Click on LEARN MORE to get more information about the artists including a 2 minute video about the whole installation. (We checked and the price for next weekend would be $409/night.)

In the words of one of my guild members on her friends quilt. "I'm not feeling it"

Just beautiful, but only for young quilters who would be able to get back up off the lounges on the floor. I'd be stuck there for quite some time, but then at least I'd have something pretty to look at while I waited.

Ironic that the bedspread is a Native American or Mexican weaving, not a quilt. ;-)

Its nice, but NO WAY would I sleep in or even think of booking a room there. For looks only in my opinion.

Absolutely gorgeous, but I'm not sure I could sleep in that room. :-)

Nice idea but could not sleep there. Top heavy, too busy, not enough natural light.
