Is this for longarming or domestic machines? I've seen his beautiful work at shows.

There is room for both machine work and hand quilting in this quilting world. In fact I have done both in one quilt and love it. I don't have much time to do hand quilting though so using machine quilting helps speed things up and I love that now we are able to learn so many designs. I think you could easily use those designs in hand quilting also just have to do a bit more marking. What I love about hand quilting is you can do designs that are not continuous line.
