Alex caught up with Janet Stone in front of her Best of Show award-winning quilt, Garden Variety Sampler, at the Houston Quilt Festival. Find out how her alphabet quilt series began and just how she goes about designing and quilting her quilts.

BTW, we hear Janet just finished blocking her 18th quilt in the series. Do you think it is the one she mentioned based on vintage jewelry? Can't wait to see it.

Janet Stone's quilt is exquisit and beautiful. But I was wondering about her appliqué method - is it needle turn, fusible web or something else?

Oh how I would love to make one of Janet's alphabet quilts! Would you please consider making up another pattern for those of us who dream about replicating your process?

Thanks for this video. She is so talented. I'm on the home stretch of finishing the 2014 BOM and just love the quilt. Makes me smile. I marvel at the uniqueness quilts she creates - all with the same theme, but so different.

Absolutely beautiful! I don't do BOM's but I would attempt it if this one was a BOM!
