How cool is this? Maggie Ward created a quilt featuring Ruth Bader Ginsburg and sent it to her. To her surprise, she received a lovely response and very special invitation.

Let's keep political criticism out of this blog. This country is too divided already and many of us have strong feelings one way or the other. Quilting is something which should bring us together, not serve as another opportunity to sow discord.

I wrote o Ms. Ginsberg and suggested that she hang the quilt in her new home in Australia which is where she promised us she would move if Donald Trump won and yet she is still here! :-*

In case you can't read what's one the quilt, the shirts say "Love the Lace", "Follow the Frill" and "Diva Supreme". The hanging sign says "You can't spell Truth without Ruth." The tote bag says "I Dissent."

Wonderfully creative - and no one should be surprised than Justice Ginsburg sent a classy, heartfelt note of appreciation. She is a remarkable person.

From time to time everyone seems to "think" about making something in honor of or as a tribute to someone we admire. We rarely do that because we are sure that person wouldn't be interested our work. Just goes to show that if that person is worthy of admiration this is the kind of response you got.
