You may not be a fan of Game of Thrones, but you can certainly appreciate the work put into the costumes for the show. Costume Designer Michele Clapton talks about her design process.

I would love to see a show on the embroiders showing how they accomplish the finished product.

The costumes and props are currently on tour of various cities. Currently it’s in Belfast NI. Not sure of the other cities but there will be a permanent exhibit in Bainbridge, NI next year. Bainbridge is half way between Dublin and Belfast. Very excited to see the exhibit. Costumes are beautiful!

What happens to the costumes after the series ends? Always curious about that for all shows.

Fascinating! Just loved the insight! I look at fashion design in the movies and on TV as a way of linking and understanding the history of the eras portrayed. It helps me to understand how the women created something beautiful, an expression of themselves that is lasting, in times of short lives in such challenging eras.
