In Kaleidoscopic XXXIX - Right and Wrong Sides Together, the left kaleidoscope was pieced traditionally by sewing the right sides of the fabric together. The segments of the right kaleidoscope are identical to the left, but are pieced with the wrong sides of the segments together. A single layer of black tulle covers the right kaleidoscope.

Wow, I expected to see the wrong side of the fabric used, as in sewn, using the wrong side up. What we are really seeing is the back side of the block, seams and all. What an interesting and innovative concept.

I like the right sides together better- gives more color.

Paula's work is amazing. So labor intensive. I've been to two classes with her. One at Asilomar and one near my home. She is a fun teacher.

Wow what a difference. I like the one on the right, which I assume is the wrong sides together....muc h mellower. It makes me want to try it myself.
Thanks, Paula.
