Alex's Quilts: Grandmother's Legacy by Gail E. Thomas--Artist and Quilter

Based on a picture of Alex sewing at her grandmother's knee, Grandmother's Legacy is an award-winning quilt by artist and quilter Gail E. Thomas. Alex loved the quilt as a memory and a statement of passing on our passions from generation to generation. Then one day, Alex was shocked to receive this quilt as a gift from Gail. It is a family treasure.

Melinda Capozza, your daughter may come to it yet. I tried twice to teach my daughter to knit, she found it very boring, but in her thirties she suddenly found it very interesting and then progressed to being brilliant at crochet and and at teaching it and knitting to others. So don't give up hope.

This quilt is marvelous.
My mother taught me hand-stitching, starting at age 8; and I am so glad she did.(Wish my daughter had shown some interest in it.)

What a wonderful, amazing, beautiful quilt made to show the skills of the quilter and the love of Alex's Grandmother teachings to her grandchildren. The quilt brought the photo to life. WOW!!!
