If I want pockets, should I attach those prior to the fusible fleece?

I feel that you made one side 3" and the other 3 1/2" because of the 6 1/2" ruler when you boxed the base of the tote. Otherwise a fabulous tutorial. Thank you. Loved the flower demo too.
