Three school teachers, Terri Medwed, Judith Pece, and Holly Spencer, teamed up with their students, Urbana Middle School 6th and 7th graders, to create a community-service project. That project was a quilt that would be sold and donated to a child.

While working with the students on the quilt, the teachers took the opportunity to talk to them about the history of quilt making and the importance of giving back to the community.

You might want to make clear that this is Urbana, Illinois. There are other cities named Urbana in Ohio and Maryland.
