Save the Thimble! - Hasbro is Choosing New Monopoly Tokens

It will be a sad day for the quilting world if Monopoly gets rid of the Thimble token. That could be a reality, but you can stop it from happening. Game maker Hasbro just launched a new campaign letting people vote online for the next Monopoly tokens.

Hasbro's Senior VP of Marketing, Jonathan Berkowitz, has said that no token is safe. "Only time will tell if fans will decide to stay with the classics, keep a few favorites or pick an entirely new line up of tokens."

Voting runs through January 31, 2017. Hasbro plans to announce the winners on "World Monopoly Day," March 19.

Of course we have to save the thimble. Monopoly just wouldn't be Monopoly without it! So done.

I just had to save the thimble and the top hat out of the old traditional pieces, I guess they ditched the little iron years ago, but it still lives in our set from the late 50's :)

save the thimble. on second thought... get rid of it. Just imagine how much the many thimbles I have now from sets that have worn out that I can sell at a premium.
