We were honored to have Sue create a number of Block-of-the-Month quilts for TQS. Her designs were beautiful and intricate and her patterns were works of wonder, allowing everyone from a beginning quilter to a seasoned favorite to see their quilts through to completion. Many of the quilts created from her BOMs went on to become multiple award-winners.

Bouquets for a New Day - TQS BOM 2008

Stars for a New Day - TQS BOM 2009

Star Crazy - TQS BOM 2010

Hugs and Kisses - TQS BOM 2010

Ruffled Roses - TQS BOM 2011

Wow, these are all gorgeous! And, it really surprised me to realize how many years have passed since I made my "Stars For A New Day" !
Seeing these all together is very inspirational. I am so sorry we lost Sue Garman...she was a wonderful quilt designer. Every one of these quilts is beautiful...now I wish I'd made them all!

There are so many wonderful Sue quilts. Sure wish some of the old patterns like Hugs and Kisses and Star Crazy were still available. Any chance you'll have them for us again?

Sue was not only an inspiration she was someone to aspire to. I felt like I knew her well but had never met her. She will be missed immensely.

I'm so sorry to hear of Sue Garman's passing. She was a genius with her patterns. Is there any possibility that they could be purchased.

such a loss to her family and the quilting world.
I made her Halloween quilt many years ago and to this day it is my favorite quilt. My kids all want it too. I may make another one. It is so joyful.

Perfection at its best - I tried to do applique as she taught - and will keep on trying to match a little of her very high standard in colour, creativity and style.
Gone too soon.

The borders on the last two quilts - Ruffled Roses and Halo Medallion - are really inspiring. I normally add a 6 inch border and let my quilter do the work for me. These are really special.
