Alex talks to Cindy Needham about her Houston exhibit, "For the Love of Linens," where exquisite vintage handwork has been re-purposed by the hands of today's quilters. Domestic and longarm quilters have pieces which showcase the beautiful handwork done by women from the past, respectfully turning them into wholecloth quilts.

Star Members can learn more about Cindy in Show 1606: Stencil Magic, from Heirloom to Today's Quilts.

I was so pleased to see Cindy's exhibit in Houston. It was wonderful for so many to see her fabulous work. Cindy is a terrific teacher & if you ever have the chance to work with her in person do it!

I saw the exhibit in person. It was awesome. Cindi's "petting zoo" was a new twist to exhibits. It was very nice for attendees to see the work up close. I took a whole cloth class which has improved my quilt planning skills. After talking to Cindi in Houston she explained a part of the quilt where I was stumped.

Thank you TQS for sponsoring and for Cindy for all her work curating this absolutely over the top amazing exhibit. All the quilts are stunning, but the way they were displayed just complimented these lovely quilts. Great exhibit doesn't capture how I feel about it. #CreativeGoodness.
