Because Allie puts so much workmanship into each of her quilts, she doesn't make many; so it's time to celebrate when she finishes a new one and she's sharing her latest with TQS.

Idaho Sugar - 68" x 68" - See if you can spot why Allie named it this. And take a look at the back. It has that little extra something.

You can see the beginnings of this quilt in Show 1906: Crazy for Crazy Quilts with Allie and Barbara Cline.

Allie, I love your work -- but most of all, I love your heart. Thanks for your presence on The Quilt Shoe.

Allie you are a genius! I really enjoyed your show and you have inspired me to create a quilt using my grandmother's hand crocheted lace. I love this lace but wanted a way to pass it on to future generations, you have given that to me. Thank you ever so much.

The "Idaho Sugar" printed in the fabric used in a block near the center is possibly the origin of the name. A tremendous amount of work in each of Allie's quilts makes each one very special.
